Wolds Way Lavender

Probably Yorkshire's largest Lavender and Herb Farm! Set within 1/2 mile of the Wolds Way Walk, on the edge of the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds.There are over 120 different types of Lavenders and Herbs growing, raised beds make easy viewing

Mother Shipton's Cave and Petrifying Well

Mother Shipton's Cave and Petrifying Well are the oldest tourist attractions in Britain, opened in 1630. Cave, well, museum, playground and 12 acres of riverside grounds.

Filey Museum

Fishing, lifeboat, rural, domestic, local and photographic items. Victorian drawing-room. Seashore displays of shells, fossils and stones. Garden with salmon coble/baiting shed.

Nunnington Studios

Feed the fish - the River Rye flows around the back of Nunnington Studios and is home to hundreds of large trout which can be fed by the visitors. This extraordinary sight is unique as the fish can be seen living and feeding in their natural environment and not in an enclosed area. There is also a large range of garden ornaments and garden furniture, plus a craft shop and tearoom

Robin Hood's Bay Beach

The beach is at the bottom of the village which has a 1 in 3 'access only' village street. The access ramp onto the beach is only 'safe at low water' signs indicate the danger.

Fishing at Pickering Trout Lake

Lake stocked with rainbow trout, fishing with either float or fly methods. Cafe and tackle shop. Courses available.

Wykeham Lakes

Trout and coarse fishery, watersports and nature trails. Match fishing.

Runswick Bay

Small sheltered beach with rock pools either side of the bay. The beach is in front of a charming village which plays host to a sailing club as well as a number of pleasure and fishing boats.

 

Mary Ann Hepworth Heritage Lifeboat

The Mary Ann Hepworth is Whitby's old lifeboat from 1938-1974. During its service it was launched 372 times and saved 201 lives and was bought privately in 1989. It now takes out pleasure trips to sea half-hourly or longer if pre-booked.
