Open Air Theatre season 2012 acts and events

JLS, Olly Murs and Dionne Warwick will all perform at the Open Air Theatre this summer. These shows were booked by the Scarborough Council.  Dionne Warwick will perform on June 6th, Olly Murs July 15th, JLS August 18th.

Tickets will be on sale via Ticketmaster on 12th March

JLS are a British boyband, who were runners up on the 2008 show The X Factor they have gone on to record 5 number one UK singles and their debut album went to number one and has since sold one million copies.

Olly Murs a British pop artist, and TV presenter. Having been a runner-up on the X-Factor and has gone on to record 4 number one UK singles with his album becoming double platinum, with his second album going to number one.

Dionne Warwick is an American singer, actress and TV show host, who became a Global Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organisation.  She is ranked among the 40 biggest hit makers for the entire rock era (1955-1999), based on the billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles Charts. She is ranked as the second most-charted female vocalist with 56 singles between 1962 – 1998.

John Barrowman Star of Doctor Who, Torchwood, is a Scottish-American actor, singer, dancer, musical theatre performer, writer and television personality.

Russell Watson is an English tenor who has released singles and albums of both operatic-style and pop songs. He came to attention in 1999 when he sang “God Save The Queen” at the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, “Barcelona” at the last match of the Premiership season between Mancher United and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford and a full set of songs at the final of the UEFA Champions League in Barcelona between Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
